What was for you the reason to register for the preliminaries for ICTalent 2019?
It all started from the problem. We found out that the existing navigation systems are not convenient to use while biking. Our solution does not have a screen or sound to follow the directions, instead it uses vibration, so a user can fully focus on the road and reaching the desired destination. ICTalent gives BiZi an opportunity to grow and improve on the conceptional level.
How can you best describe your product? What can it do? What does it do?
BiZi is a smart navigation system. It is a two-component product which consists of bike grips along with the mobile application. The application is there to make a connection with the grips, provide the destination point and start the journey. The bike grips will get directions and transform them into vibrations. When you need to turn left, the left grip is going to vibrate, the same principle goes for the right one. The end product will have a lot of useful functionalities: “Find the parking location“, “Find the stolen bike”, “Measure health parameters” and many more.
Become BiZi as well!
What makes your product so unique?
The product is unique in its concept. It is interesting and a new solution for the biking industry. BiZi grips are cheap, for just around 30 euros the user has the safe solution with lots of functionality. Thus, it is affordable even for students. On top of that, there is a proposed legislation to ban the use of the phone while biking in Netherlands, so it might be impossible to use the normal navigation systems on phones.
Why should you win the ICTalent Awards 2019?
BiZi is unique solution for every day problem of any biker. It is simple in its concept and easy to use. That is what you need to reach the destination faster and safer. BiZi is something that everybody at some point in their lives wished they had it. Moreover, it can easily become a built-in feature in the future of e-and-not-only-bikes.
What, if you win the first prize of 2000 euro per person. How are you going to use the money to develop your product or your talents?
We as a team want to turn this project into the start-up. This money will be our first founding which is needed to make an actual product and start a good pr-campaign about it.
And… what do you want to tell your competition?
May the strongest win, but for sure they can buy our product with discount once it is available.
